Addison has been quite amusing lately!
She recently moved to the "big kid" room at school and it is definately showing. Miss Lorrie her new teacher is known for telling the kids when they make a "bad choice" and encourages them to make "good choices." Addison has been letting me know her opinion of my choices lately. If I say "Addison, it is time to clean up your room and get ready for nap." she will respond "That is not a good choice mama!" "Addison drain the tubby water so we can get ready for bed!" "Not a good choice mommy I need five more minutes!" another recent example "Addison eat some of your green beans." "Green beans are not a good choice mommy!"
This morning, while getting ready for church I hear Addi's conversation with her dad.
Addi: Wake UPPPPPPPPP DADDDDDDDDDDDDY!
Chad: Pretends to be asleep.
Addi: Get up DADDY! (as she pulls the blanket off of him) Come play in my room.
Chad: OOOOHHHHH I am cold with out my blanket on.
Addi: Well, you should come to my room and play it is warm in there!
Addison has been infatuated with weddings and getting married so we have had many conversations on this topic lately.
Me: (Singing our wedding song as it plays on the radio)
Addi: Mommy you like this song?
Me: I love this song, it was played when me and daddy danced at our wedding.
Addi: Mommy can I be married with you and daddy?
Me: Mommy and Daddy are married and you are our little girl.
Addi: Can't I be married with you and DADDY?
Me: Addi you can get married when you grow up.
Addi (2 minutes later): Mommy is Miss Theresa married?
Me: No she isn't.
Addi: Mommy is Miss Amber married?
Me: No Ad, she isn't.
Addi: (looking at me with a confused face) Why not, they are big.
Me: (Realizing that my answer needed to be a little more detailed) When people grow
up and fall in love with someone they make a choice to get married.
Addi: I want to marry Luke when I grow up. But Daddy said you can't marry your
cousins.
Me: Your cousins already love you and are a part of your
family so you don't need to marry them.
Addi: (deep sigh)
Me: Whats wrong Ad?
Addi: Im so "fustrated"
