HILARIOUS

My dad was just saying last week how little time we were going to have with Brian over the holidays before he goes on his big trip! We were expecting Brian to come home on Sunday at some point to surprise my dad for his birthday so when Brian called yesterday afternoon and said that he was only a couple hours away, I knew just how excited my dad was going to be! We decided to go out for Mexican as soon as Brian got into town. Mom and Dad were at the restaurant when Brian walked in and my Dad was very surprised. Brian said that he looked straight at him twice before it registered. Faye and Bob were at Mi Pueblito with their bicycle club so we got to visit with them, and Kenny and Kelly also joined us. The funniest part of the whole evening was when Dad was opening his present from us and they came to sing to the lady at the table behind us! You should have seen the look on dad's face when he thought it was for him. When they finished singing to the lady, Brian cued the guys that it was dad's birthday at the very same time my dad is saying you guys are lucky that you didn't do that to me or someone would have to post bail. The lady at the table behind us still wanted to keep the hat on (maybe the tequila had a part to do with that), so the employees are grabbing a chair to get down another sombrero to sing to my dad who is still talking about how lucky we are that we didn't do that to him and Brian is trying desperately to cancel his recent request and when they won't stop Brian grabs the hat and takes one for the team and we all sing to him instead. I do not remember the last time I laughed that hard! If I would have been drinking I think I would have peed myself!
