Anyone I talked to yesterday probably heard these stories already--so sorry, but I wanted to get it down to show Addi's three year old sassy side. Tuesday evening she is singing He Belongs to Me by Taylor Swift word for word and she tells me that a girl in her class wrote it because she sings it all the time. Yesterday morning I went to get her dressed and she said "No pants mom, a skirt with tights!" At 5:30 in the morning I pick my battles with her because as I am waking her, no matter how early she goes to bed she always tells me "UHHHH I didn't get all my sleep out!" She proceeds to go through all of the reasons why it is a good idea--"If we play in the gym I can still run in them," and "If we go outside my legs will be warm because I have tights on", and "they just look good" I say fine you can wear tights and a skirt!
OH MY!!!!!!
So then we are almost at work and their is a truck entrance at CATERPILLAR which was obviously backed up because from all three directions there were probably a total of 25 trucks. Addison looks around because we have stopped and she goes "What are we in a Tarade or somethin?" The moments of her being little are growing fewer and fewer. I think that if I didn't have sweet little Emmy to snuggle right now I would really miss it!

OK, so she might be practicing a little bit of sassiness, but she is still completely hilarious. The "tarade" comment was really funny!
Hang in there, mama, it is just a stage, I'm sure.
Love you,
Leslie
