GRATEFUL!

The more you are thankful for, the more you will have to be thankful for. God responds to a grateful heart with joy.
Since my accident the other night, grateful is the best word to describe my mood--especially now that I have slept! I am soo lucky that the car was the only thing damaged and that my friend Liz was there with me! I think that because she saw the deer half a second before I did, she gave me the ability to keep control of the car as it hit us--also very much comic relief! With everything going on with others I have talked to this week--surgery, sickness, deaths, premature babies, stress, etc etc. I really feel that I am truly blessed and just want to appreciate every moment! So for me, the fact that all three of us girls are home, safe, and in our jammies with no plans the entire day sounds perfect! I am not going to stress about cleaning or running errands or completing the to do list today, just a nice steady pace! I think God answered my question about the jars and what is most important! God, Family, Friends, and being compassionate to others!

Your blogg almost brought me to tears. You are so right! We need to appreciate and be thankful for every moment. If we keep the important things close in our hearts all the other things (like our jars) will work theirselves out...or not...I do believe there is a plan and that stressing won't change it...just us. Let me take this opportunity to be thankful for you and the love and joy you have added to my life. You have such a loving, giving, beautiful heart. As you now know, a mother's greatest joy is for her children to be loved...you have done that for me through Chad, Addi & Emmy. What a gift God sent to us through you. Love you Erin, lyn
