AWWWKWARD

So this weekend for Addi's recital the "stage Moms" are in the back keeping the little ones entertained while they wait their turn to dance. We were on the side of the stage waiting for ours to get done performing and we were having a discussion about the TLC show toddlers and tiara's (if you aren't familiar with this show basically it is about moms who take it over the top and pay hundreds or thousands for their child to be in pageants and they give these young girls spray tans and fake eyelashes and flippers to cover any imperfections in their teeth and all of these things are done to the child whether the child likes it or not--you should watch at least one time) and in the middle of the conversation this mom whose daughter is a little younger than Addi and in about twelve of the thirty performances goes "Actually a flipper is just something that snaps over their teeth and it doesn't hurt them and my daughter has a spray tan right now! I guess I am one of those "crazy" moms you guys are talking about! Conversation ended and awkward silence resumes! So happy that I am spending about twelve hours in a small room with her today! PS Did you know that Recital scissors are different than regular scissors????
