Fishin take 1

Yesterday morning we woke the girls up early in the morning and took them in a surprise fishing trip. I wish I could tell you that it was perfect and we had a wonderful family bonding experience, but this is what really went down-
We woke the girls up and they shrieked with excitement. Chad loaded the car while I finished nursing Paige and got the girls ready. We got to Weldon Springs and found a great spot on a deck where Emmy's loud voice shooed away the dad who was fishing with his two children. Chad gave the girls their poles. Addi was a natural and cast farther than any of us while Enmy got frustrated a lot as her hook was catching on everything from the seaweed in the water to the deck we were standing on. Chad was frustrated because everytime he would get to try to cast his line or figure out his pole, one of the girls would need more help. I could only do so much as I was holding Paige and trying to calm Emmy down who was shrieking over every little bug in sight and the snake swimming across the water. Addison was all smiles and her only complaint was that we didn't catch anything. We did see two turtles swimming and the scenery was gorgeous. All in all, we lasted about two hours then we scouted our next fishing spot, took the girls to Golden Glaze for breakfast, hit a few garage sales, went to the library and park, came home and did some housework and finished off the long day with an impromptu cookout at Nan's house. If the weather permits, we will do fishing take two on Monday morning.
