Pay it Forward
I took all 3 kids to Target to spend Addison's birthday gift cards and to purchase school supplies. All in all the kids were pretty good for the almost 2 hour trip. There were two different moms in Target shopping leisurely without their children who came up to me. One asked if I wanted her to hold Paige while I took Addi and Emmy to the restroom and the other offered to help push our full cart to the car since I had the carrier and 3 kids in tow both mentioned they had children napping at home and knew what it could be like. Last weekend while Chad was working I was grocery shopping alone with them and a lady in the parking lot also asked if I needed help unloading the groceries. This morning at church Paige screamed almost the entire bible study because of teething pain and someone came into the lounge and offered to hold her if I needed a break. While I did not accept the help in these instances ( I did want to ask for a raincheck for a day I have a sassy Emmy and a fussy baby) I vow to offer assistance to another mom who appears to have her hands full while mine are not! (Also makes me wonder if people are just that generous or if we look a hot mess to the outsider).
