STL MARDI GRAS

Chad and I spent last weekend in St. Louis with Leslie,Ben,Kari,and Aaron to celebrate Ben's birthday! We definately saw some interesting things at Mardi Gras and had a great time people watching, laughing, and commenting on drunk behaviors. After Mardi Gras, we went to Morgan Street Brewery for a few drinks and then headed back to the hotel to freshen up. That evening, we went to eat italian at Lombardos--very good food! I loved the salad and the bites of snickers pie. After dinner, we headed back to the landing to go to the BIG BANG, but were dissapointed with the extremely long lines. We decided to go to the casino for a while to get warm and also to see if the lines would get any shorter. We didn't get a chance to go out that evening, but it was probably a blessing in disguise since there weren't any hangovers on Sunday! Sunday we slept in--for me that means 7:15-- and for Chad a couple hours later. It was nice to wake up without being woken and to have uninterupted sleep! I also took my time in the shower and had two cups of coffee while finishing a book I have been reading. After a leisurely start to the day, Chad and I headed to St. Louis Mills for me to do lots of shopping while Chad saw Slumdog Millionare. It was a very fun time and I want to thank Ben and Leslie for the great idea, Mom and Dad for taking such great care of Addison, and Lyn and Galen for watching Boggsy for us!
