We had a 24 hour visit from little baby Drew this weekend, and it was very interesting to watch Addison interact with him. She was 50% jealous and 50% big girl helper. Drew loved the Da Da (Dog) and eating, and playing/exploring.

She has always been the younger cousin in sleepover situations so it was a different kind of excitement. Instead of an older cousin oooooing and aaaaahing over her, she got to do that. It all started on Friday night when she was "SOOOOO CITED" for baby Drew to come.

She did do some things she does not normally do--eat cheerios, sit in a baby carseat, and she had a couple time outs for acting out for attention. She crawled on the floor along with him and asked for help with things that she knows how to do.

On the other hand, she was very sweet to him--she shared all her toys and showed them how they worked, She would say "come on little fella" and bend down when she talked to him and she wanted to help feed, diaper, and bathe him. And Addison learned that boys look different than girls. While changing Drew's diaper, I asked Addison to hand me a clean diaper from the coffee table and when she came over with it, she looked down THERE and said "Look Mommy" and I said "I see" trying to keep very calm and she said "look mommy look" pointing at Drew and again I said "Yeah I see" and then she goes "Him has a finger" So I just said "That is how little boys go pee" and she dropped it until the next morning when we were giving him a bath and she saw it again and said "There's him finger gain."
