Making Memories

We had a super busy and super fun weekend! We all had lots of time with Grandparents and cousins! Friday afternoon Gram let Gracie and Addi pick a name from the Angel tree and shop for the gift, then she took Emmy for a couple hours while Leslie and I took the girls to the movie Tangled. That movie was so cute, it will definitely be in our collection when it comes to DVD. Following the movie, we were go graciously invited to the Hedenbergs for dinner and visiting. After dinner, Chad and I got to go out for a couple hours to visit with everyone in town kid free (what a treat). I had a pina colada (another treat).

Saturday afternoon the girls and I went for lunch at Monical's with my family and then headed to Clinton where Santa showed up on a horse driven sleigh and Mrs. Claus was reading to all the kids. They also had treats like Hot Cocoa and Gingerbread cookies and pictures with Santa.

Later that evening when Chad got home from work, we put on our jammies and drove to Monticello where we rode the Polar express to the "Morth Pole" and saw Santa again! What an adorable little event! They sure knew how to keep the kids entertained and excited the entire time! We did learn a couple things though
#1 it is a little tricky to change a blowout diaper on the polar express
#2 if you leave your headlights on and go to the north pole, your car won't start when you get back
Even with the hurdles of the evening, we had such a great time and hope to do it again next year.

We ended our busy weekend yesterday with a trip to Hardy's Reindeer Ranch in Rantoul. My parents kept Emmy so that we didn't have to take her out in the cold, and the Clarks and Torrens joined us. It was a little chilly, but always very neat to see the Reindeer.

We love you all and are so glad that we got to spend so much time together!
